I LOVE WASHINGTON, D.C.

What a day.

Technically, it’s already Monday. I have to drag myself out of bed in approximately four hours. However, I find myself unable to sleep, due to the pent-up EXCITEMENT and ANTICIPATION and EAGERNESS that are overwhelming my desire to curl up and fall asleep! I’m thinking it might be a good idea to keep this short, but before I end my first blog, I have a few things to go over first:

1. I really, and I mean REALLY, appreciated the gargantuan bag of candy that was so kindly given to us by the WJMC staff. So the saying must be true… the way to my heart is through my stomach.

2. I love how everyone went back to their dorms and chatted with each other on Facebook. Hahaha

3. I really like everyone I have met here so far. I can’t wait to talk to even more people tomorrow, because everyone here is so interesting.

4. I am very happy with my roommates, and we’re getting along swimmingly.

5. I’m currently listening to Derek and the Dominos!

6. I love Washington, D.C. and I think I would die of happiness if I could attend The George Washington University for college!

7. The unceasing sound of my shower dripping is making me irate.

8. I’m a little scared about what to expect tomorrow.

9. I thought Brian Lamb and Andrew Flagel were really cool.

10. I didn’t even wear heels today, just flat, black dress shoes, and my feet are ALREADY killing me. Is there something I’m missing here? How is it that those chic, modelesque women who live in New York City can wear stilettos when they travel all over creation and NOT DIE? I can’t tolerate heels for more then ten minutes because my feet blister and swell and cry out in agony, screaming “FREE ME FROM THIS DEATH TRAP!” Just ONCE I’d like to wear a simple pair of classy, black high heels without doubling over in pain.

11. All the food I brought with me has somehow vanished. Oh yes, that’s right… I ate it.

12. If I don’t get a chance to go to Godiva when we’re in D.C. tomorrow, I will not be a happy camper. Just kidding. But not really.

I feel the need for sleep now. At this rate I’ll clock in about three and a half hours! Lucky me! Well, bye.

P.S. I HAD A FABULOUS FIRST DAY HERE! I LOVE THIS CONFERENCE. I LOVE WRITING. I LOVE EDITING. I LOVE GRAMMAR. I LOVE ENGLISH. I LOVE PHOTOGRAPHY. AND I LOVE GOD. GOODNIGHT!
